Pastor Joshua and Johanna Soto were married in 2019 and have been Lead Pastors of Generations Family Church (GFC) since 2021. Their precious baby boy, Levi, was born in the fall of 2022. Together, they continue part of the great legacy of Pastor Joshua’s late father and Senior Pastor, Erwin Efrain Soto. 

 

Pastors Joshua and Johanna both grew up as “preacher’s kids” and followed in the steps of their parents, respectively. Pastor Joshua’s parents, Pastors Erwin and Veronica Soto, founded GFC, and Pastor Veronica continues on as Senior Pastor. 

 

It was at GFC where Joshua cultivated his love for serving God and ministering to people. Pastor Joshua has been an active member of the GFC Worship Team since he was 11 years old. He has been the Worship Pastor at GFC for 18 years. Pastor Joshua also served as GFC Youth Pastor for several years guiding and teaching young people how to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. 

 

Across the Atlantic Ocean near Munich, Germany, God too was preparing Pastor Johanna for life in ministry. Her parents, Pastors Klaus and Heidrun Weidlich, continue to pastor their church in Munich, Germany. Pastor Johanna served God there with her parents for several years in the Worship Team, Youth Ministry, and eventually as a Pastor. It was there where Pastor Johanna developed her love for serving the Lord and passion for serving others. 

 

Although trained as a licensed midwife, Pastor Johanna now dedicates her time to ministry and family. Pastor Joshua is also a practicing licensed attorney in Texas. Together with the entire Soto family, they continue to live out God’s calling on their lives and seek to honor and glorify the Lord through service.
